Munro Days: A Talk by James Ellson
Thursday September 19 - 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM
For anyone not previously tempted, the 282 munros (Scottish hills over 3000 feet / 914 metres) might all seem very similar.
However, their varied terrain and footpaths (if there are any!) make them all very different.
Add the unpredictable weather, and trying to summit them results in unique challenges and memorable days, where in winter at least, success is never certain.
In this talk James will look at the history of the munros, reasons to climb them, and to start climbing them. Includes an account of traversing the Cuillin Ridge and some epic days on the hill.
For every walker, climber, mountaineer, and armchair enthusiast!
