New Mills Festival Spunch Orienteering

Saturday Afternoon Spunch Orienteering Event as part of the New Mills Festival – 60/90/120min countryside course options suitable for all ages and abilities. Free Parking, Registration, Loos, Start, Finish, and refreshments all at New Mills Leisure Centre, SK22 4BP.

Discover the beautiful countryside on the Leisure Centre doorstep – in and around New Mills. Like a sporty treasure hunt – If you like maps and you like walking or running in the countryside then you will love this!

Cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks will all be available at low-cost in the leisure centre after you have finished.

Run, jog or walk – suitable for trail runners, park runners, fell runners, adventure runners, orienteers, walkers, and newcomers alike. Great for families and friends to do together. Lots of help available for newcomers. Well behaved 4-legged friends welcome too.

50ish checkpoints to choose from, spread out in countryside immediately accessible from the Leisure Centre. Visit as many as you can in the time available.

Will you explore the Torrs Riverside Park or venture further to Mousley Bottom or Goytside Meadows? Hope you will come along!

Registration from 12:30pm. Start times from 1pm to 2pm

Adult 21+ – £5.00 up to midnight on 27th September, £6.00 thereafter.
Junior 16-20/Students – £3.00 up to midnight on 27th September, £4.00 thereafter.
Under 16 – FREE with a paying adult.
